This is my Try........

WHO AM I ?

As stated on the "Home Page" everything written herein is the absolute truth, so help me God.

I am a very proud and concerned American Citizen.

I am a "Contemporary" of Donald J. Trump.  We are both first year baby boomers. We were both born in major cities, he in New York and I in Philadelphia. We grew up in the 50s and 60s and experienced our youth and education in the same way. We were both raised in a time when prejudice was all around us. Whether it was racial, religious, ethnic or gender related it was always present.........in our environment, in our schools, in our cities and neighborhoods, and sometimes in our own families.  We both grew up during the birth of television and experienced viewing programs that were all new and basically experimental. We were influenced in various ways  to some degree by the visual media : Cartoons, News, Sports, Adventure, Drama and Comedy, Cowboys and Indians, Superman, and Disney.

I am the oldest of seven children. Donald Trump is the fourth of five children.

We are both 3rd generation immigrants. We are graduates of prominent eastern Universities. I have a BS in Mechanical  Engineering and Donald Trump has a BS in Economics.

We were both drafted into the military in the late 60s during the Viet Nam War after receiving a 1A classification from the government.

I served for 4 years in the United States Navy Seabees. Donald Trump did not serve due to a medical reason.

I consider myself a Patriot of the highest degree.  What is best for our country must come first in my mind.

I have been married for 56 years to a wonderful woman. I have two sons and four grandchildren.

I worked a total of forty three years in Engineering, Design, Construction and Manufacturing for various companies in the United States and held numerous responsible management positions.

I am a fully formed and ordained Permanent Deacon of the Church in the Philadelphia Archdiocese.

I hold my Military, Marriage and Diaconate vows sacred and unbreakable.

........and for what it is worth.......I am a Recovering Alcoholic.

WHO I AM NOT

I do not represent or speak for any political party or PAC.   I am not affiliated with any publication, radio, TV station or Web Site other than my own.

I am not a Pro or Anti Trumpster.

I do not harbor any prejudice whatsoever.  Whatever I grew up with I have overcome with the wisdom of understanding and empathy.

I have never had or have any political aspirations.

My Gravest Concerns

We American Citizens have elected a President of our United States, Donald J. Trump, who has demonstrated by performance that he is not the caliber leader we want or need to be the standard bearer for our country and the rest of the free world.  We must have a President that we can look up to and be proud of in reputation, speech and action. In my opinion and observations we are not experiencing anything near what we hoped for as a country.

To my knowledge, he is the first president in our history to elicit demonstrations against him in the first 150 days of his administration.  The highly attended "No Kings" protests across our county was a sign of massive discontent with his actions, goals and leadership efforts.

Our President has "buddied up" to Russian President, Vladimir Putin, who is the antithesis of all that America holds dear ever since he has been the Russian leader.  Vladimir Putin is an evil man and demonstrates that in many ways. He suppresses all press, news programs and demonstrations that are not aligned with his messages.  Those who disagree or oppose his thinking are either killed or eliminated in other ways.  Alexei Navalny is a prime example. There is no news from Russia that Putin cares first and foremost for the Russian people.  He has become much like the Czars of the past, enriching himself above all.

He continues to assault Ukraine, killing women and children, for no reason other than to gain territory for Russia. He attacks the people whereas in retaliation,  Ukraine attacks military targets only.

Donald Trump was elected our 47th President with 49.8% of the popular vote compared to 48.3% for Kamala Harris. Not a "mandate" by any means as claimed.

The Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, was thrust into the election. The Democratic Party did not do our country any favors by presenting a candidate for President to oppose Mr. Trump who had little time to prepare for a presidential election.  However, it is quite obvious that she did extremely well regardless of the odds.

We have let Americas' two party system become two opposing teams, similar to sports, not just opposing ideas or ideals.  We vote, in general, along Party Lines for a candidate in deference to what is best for the United States of America. Shame on all of us. We must be citizens first and party backers second, not the other way around.

As long as our choice of candidates wins, we are satisfied.  A win is a win.  All secondary to the outcome of our elections is the welfare of our country.

The Republican choice won this time around and the Republican Party is very happy.  Their team won. Donald Trump is the elected President.  However, sad to say, it is beginning to look like our country has lost.

Donald Trump does not embrace Truth,  he does not seek genuine Justice and he does not lead our country in the American Way that we all love, honor and defend.

This Blog will attempt to explain and define the true reasons behind my last sentence.

TRUTH

A quote that I have read somewhere states:  "The Truth is like fire, you don't play with it."

Donald Trump does not tell the truth. Everything he addresses is embellished with countless adverbs and adjectives. All gloss to make anything and everything sound "just wonderful" .

Mr. Trump has a very bad habit of trying to create truths from obvious lies.  He does this incessantly in many of his speeches and addresses. There was a practice instituted by the Nazis during WWII that was promulgated by Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister for Hitler, to repeat lies "over and over" until they are perceived as truth.  It worked.

It appears that President Trump and his administration have adopted this practice. Let's take for example the spreading of the lie that Donald Trump won the 2020 election. This erroneous fact has been debunked by most organizations including the Republican Party leadership.  However, this lie is still presented as "truth" by Mr. Trump himself with absolutely zero proof. A poll has shown that at least 30% of the Republican Party base still believes this.  The Goebbels philosophy is working.

I read recently that the state of Oklahoma has now instituted in school history books that the 2020 presidential election may have been stolen by the Democratic Party. Can we as true American Citizens allow this to happen and possibly spread?  Can we let disproven lies become true facts ? God, I hope and pray we can squash this.

However,  as long as this president keeps stating this falsehood during political rallies the perception of it being true becomes more real.  We, as Americans, cannot let this happen like the German Nazi Party did.
